Preached by Rod Benner (00:41)
Rod begins a study in the book of Acts.
The book of Acts tells the story of the first generation of Christians; how the Christian church began and what it did. The book was written by Luke (a friend of the Apostle Paul) to a man named Theophilus, who held a high or noble position in society. Luke gave Theophilus a brief, eye witness account of what happened soon after Jesus rose from the dead and how the apostles continued spreading the gospel. In this short history of early Christianity we learn how God worked in the world then and by consequence we learn how God works in the world today. Filled with the supernatural and the human; the book will challenge you to live in the promised power of God today.
