What is the source of your life? What drives your passions and what is the desire of your heart? The old proverb cautions you to “guard your heart”. Why? Because everything you do flows from the desires of your heart.
Not only is this a caution to block your heart from evil, but it means guard your heart to allow only the good into it. Know that the source of all goodness and love is God. Know that Jesus said he is the pathway to God. You cannot know God for who he is unless you know Jesus as he is. Let God shape the desires of your heart because he made you and knows your strengths, your weaknesses, and what you were born to do.
Guard your heart so that you can be whole hearted.
