December 24, 2018: Unto YOU a child is born

Presented by Pastor Casey Kluver (00:29)

Listen in as Pastor Casey explores the announcement of the Angel to the shepherds: “a child is born to you.” How odd–the shepherds were not parents of this child.  What does this unusual statement mean to us?  The Savior, the Rescuer, was born to us.  We desperately need rescuing. Yet what will we do with Jesus?  Will we relegate Him to the shed, or will He have first place in our life?

December 23, 2018: The Birth of Christ, prophecy fulfilled

Presented by Casey Kluver (00:54)

The Life’s Journey Pastor, Casey Kluver, reminds us that the birth of Christ changed history–changed everything.  He has so many titles, names, attributes.  God, fully God and man, fully man.  Not just who He is, what He is…  The Lion, the Lamb, Wonderful, Counselor, Comforter, Prince of Peace, Savior… And yet it seemed to take so long.  Isaiah prophesied nearly 700 years before the birth of Christ. Then from the last Old Testament Book of Malachi, it was 400 years of relative silence until the nativity in Bethlehem. There is a time of waiting, preparation, then all of a sudden!  God is a God of process.  He fulfills every prophecy, over 300 of them about Jesus. He does not get frustrated in the process of getting where we are going-He loves us and the process.

Scripture references: Isaiah 9:6, Luke 1:30-38, Luke 2:1-20

December 23, 2018: God has goodwill toward men.

Presented by Courtney Kluver (00:06)

The Life’s Journey worship leader, Courtney Kluver, shared an encouraging word on really listening to Christmas songs. The lyrics claiming “peace on earth, goodwill to men”, are found in Luke 2:14. When we really consider that the God of all creation has goodwill toward us, it is life changing.  Remember,  God really loves you!
