January 20, 2019: Results and Relationship

Presented by Casey Kluver (00:24)

Witnessing the activity of God is not the same as being connected with God.  One day the prophet Elijah witnessed a strong force of nature that was certainly caused by God, but he learned that God was not in those events.  It was when the storm passed and all was silent that Elijah encountered God.

Listen as Pastor Casey cautions us not to mistake the activity of God around our life for a relationship with God in our life.  God will use events to get your attention so that he can have a friendship with you.  Watch for God’s presence so that you can lean into a relationship with him.

Scripture references: 1 Kings 19:1-15; Acts 2:1-6

January 13, 2019: Surrounding Someone with God’s Love

Presented by Steve Scansen (00:57)

Steve Scansen, a regional director with Child Bridge Montana, shares the vision of Child Bridge Montana and an inspiring vision for foster care in eastern Montana. There is so much need for loving homes in the foster care program.

Every child in foster care was taken out of a dangerous or unhealthy home situation. In most situations, the children enter the foster care program without ever knowing that someone loves them. If a person doesn’t believe another person can love them, they will struggle to understand the love God has for them.

Listen as Steve and the Child Bridge Montana team shares why it is so important for Christians to somehow be involved with foster care. Whether you become a foster parent, a respite care provider, someone who can support foster parents, or an example of love for foster kids, the foster care program is a perfect fit for a Christian because you know the love of God – and you can share it with others.  The most important thing a foster child needs is for someone to show them love in a tangible way.

Ask God how you can show his love within foster care.

January 6, 2019: In the Cave

Presented by Casey Kluver (00:52)

After David was anointed as the king of Israel, he found himself running for his life because the current king felt threatened.  The future king of Israel was reduced to hide in cave.  David could have concluded that the dark cave meant his future as king was over. Yet in the cave he found a group of followers, many of whom would later become the mightiest men of his army.
You may end up in a cave, but that doesn’t mean the journey is over.  You cannot have growth without resistance.  Don’t give up in God because he hasn’t given up on you.
