Go – The great commission is fulfilled
You were gathered to God, to grow in the Holy Spirt, to give the good news of Jesus to others, and to go into the world and reproduce mature and faithful Christians who live and act as Jesus did.
The go stage is the disciple making stage. The difference between giving and going is intentional disciple making. In the previous stages you have helped others grow in grace but when you begin to intentionally “make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that [Jesus has] commanded you” (Matthew 28:18) to begin the mission of Jesus. This stage is not for the faint of heart or the young in faith. It involves much personal sacrifice, it can demand much time, and it requires much faith and trust in God. You will not only minister to people but begin to coach and mentor others in the various stages of the Christian life. You will gather the lost, help grow other believers, teach and model giving, and prepare others to go.
This may sound like the work of full-time pastors or church priests, but it is the job and privilege of all Christians as they learn to live as Jesus lives.
