This morning we started forward by looking back. Pastor Casey noted that in a season of education, one should review, and so we did. He recounted many of the themes or words if you will, that God laid on his heart to share with us this year: the church is God’s idea; shame is poison, love is the antidote; embracing community is key to transformation; when you find your people you find your purpose; faithful friends give faithful wounds; and many others. Finally we looked at going forward from here.
For 2019, let’s live in high resolution. High resolution-we think of this as a higher number of pixels per inch, giving us a clearer image. How about a spiritual resolution? What if we went after God with high resolution- bringing our focus to be on God? What will 2019 bring? While we cannot predict the future , we can predict our response. Our high resolve can be like David in Psalm 16, “I will bless the Lord at all times…”. Join us as Pastor Casey encourages us to live a High resolution, high definition life.
Earlier this month, a team from Life’s Journey joined other Christian teams in Haiti to bring help and love to people in Haiti. The team was able to provide help with many needs ranging from practical needs like mother and infant care to fixing water pumps all the while giving encouragement in Jesus Christ to everyone they met and worked with.
Be encouraged as you listen to the stories experienced by the team.
In February 2018, Life’s Journey hosted Tim Anderson and the Covenant Seminar. This was a two day event in which Tim walked us through what the idea of covenant means. God frames all of his promises with the world in this idea of covenant.
If you missed this event, or just want to hear it again, Life’s Journey is excited to offer this resource to you. Learn why an understanding of covenant is pivotal to your life. By knowing what God’s covenant is about you will understand God’s desire for you.
